During our four-day summer trip to Vegas, we visited Olives twice for lunch. Why in the world would a person eat at the same place twice in one of the greatest foodie locations in the world? Two reasons- first it was so convenient since it was located in our hotel and so we did not have to brave the 110+ degree heat; and the second reason is the really amazing atmosphere. Located directly over the Bellagio fountains the views cannot be beat.

On our first visit we sat at the bar for lunch. The meal started with fresh olives, tapenade and fresh breads. This was amazing and possibly worth the trip. I tried the Boston Bibb Salad shaved white onions, toasted walnut dressing, Maytag blue cheese ($11). This was fresh and light—a perfect lunch on a hot day. D ordered the Bronx Bomber sliced pepperoni, mozzarella cheese, roasted tomato sauce ($15). The airy, crisp crust made the pizza a good choice.

During the second trip in the early evening, we sat out on the balcony overlooking the fountains. We decided to share the Olives Burger, which included balsamic glazed onion, cheddar cheese, Parmesan fries. ($16) . We highly recommend both the burger (cooked to perfection) and the balcony experience.
